Marilyn Johnson: This Book Is Overdue

In 2005, Marilyn Johnson, 78G was researching her first book when a reference librarian showed her how to save web pages to her computer.  “To someone who already knew how to do it, it was idiotically simple,” she writes in her new book-but for me– it was a revelation.  Johnson says she did not want to leave the library because “If you know how to do this, and you’re willing to help me for free and you won’t laugh at me, what else do you know?”  And what was the genesis of her wonderful new book, This Book Is Overdue! How Librarians and Cybrarians Can Save Us All.   She is a UNH graduate and is now touring for speaking engagements.
