Dewey Decimal System

In 1876 Melvil  Dewey developed the Dewey Decimal Classification, also known as the Dewey Decimal  System. This classification system makes it easier for librarians to classify their books.  In fact,  The Wakefield Public Library’s older books are classified under the Dewey Decimal System.   For more information on the Dewey Decimal System go to:
